MS001 – Mission Style Wooden Frame – Choose the Tile

Sublime Images produce reproduction ceramic or glass Art Nouveau tiles available in different finishes, and sizes. This particular listing is for any of our 6″ square gloss tiles framed with this beautifully crafted Mission Style frame made “one at a time”. The frame is made from Quarter Sawn oak, finished with hand wiped stain and finally sprayed with 2 coats of lacquer. The tile comes into the frame from behind and rests up against a recess or rabbet (approximately 1/8″ of the tile edges are behind the frame). The width of the frame is 9 3/8″, the height 10 1/16″ and depth is 7/8″. The tile is held in position with two turn buttons which can be swivelled, in and out, when the screw is tightened or loosened. One clear rubber door bumper is placed at the bottom of each vertical to prevent scratching the wall and also help to keep the frame hanging straight. When appropriate a border on a tile will be set so that the border is completely visible and not “lost” in the recessed area.

The tile is printed through a quality heat process that guarantees vivid colors and crisp images. Perfect as a display item or for back splashes but use a Non-Sand grout and clean with Windex and a non-abrasive cloth. Our tiles have been featured in KITCHENS Magazine (Romantic Homes Publications).

The designs on our tiles are flat; there are no raised surfaces nor should our tiles be displayed in direct sunlight.

Watermarks: If it needs to be  said, all of our tiles are shipped without the watermarks.
